The book is designed to feel like experiencing a work of art or a film. It avoids long readings and does not focus on the quality of the photographs, as these can be fully viewed on the AAS website. Instead, the book presents an endless stream of images that disregard the traditional paper format. This allows the reader to focus on previously unseen details depending on how the image lands fully or partially on the page—similar to a camera zooming in on specific details.

To achieve this design, Bureau Borsche created a code-generated book following these rules: All images were stored in a file-based folder structure organized by project number and year—the same structure used for the AAS website. A simple code was developed to generate the layout. All images were composed into an infinite stream. The only text in the book consists of basic factual information, placed between each project chapter. This text was automatically extracted from a spreadsheet, which was also used to generate the cover design. The browser interpreted the layout with all images and chapter dividers, which were then exported as a print-ready file. The entire generation process took just 60 minutes.

The book brings together 22 years and 484 projects.
