The folding Glass Paravent is designed by Judith Haase as a complex system that works with opposing concepts. It is an element between inside and outside, dissolving boundaries while simultaneously creating them. It offers privacy despite its transparency.

It is an interplay of different surfaces. Depending on the incidence of light, it can be translucent, tinting the background, more or less strongly reflecting the foreground or background, or merging the two planes. The penetrating or reflecting light—between daylight and artificial light—creates ever-changing visual situations.

Depending on the mood of day or night and the influence of various light sources, the folding screen becomes a constantly transforming spatial element. It creates fragmented spatial conditions, serves as a backdrop for the viewer, and becomes an echo of their own movements.
